The Angel Food Team at Calvary has been dedicated to serving the Angel Food Ministries program for 3½ years. Our goal was to help members of our community save money on their ever-increasing food prices and to provide food boxes to those in need. We were blessed to have the support of people in our congregation who donated money so that we could serve those needing help.
It is with sadness, then, that I announce that Angel Food Ministries (Good Hope, GA) has closed its doors and is no longer in business. This was a huge shock to all of us to hear of the ending of such a worthwhile ministry. Many people across the country and in our own community were helped through this food program. Rising costs in transportation, fuel, and food took its toll on the program. I do not know all of the reasons behind its closing, but I do know that this is a program that will be sorely missed.
On behalf of my teammates and myself, I want to thank all of you for allowing us to serve you over the past years.
