Becoming a Member

Membership has its privileges – at least that’s what the credit card applications suggest. At Calvary, membership is not about privileges. If you are asking the question, ‘What’s in it for me?’ you might not be ready for membership at Calvary. Membership at Calvary is all about making a declaration that you are part of the team and that you are committed to seeing this Calvary team become all God desires for us to be. It’s about being committed to a family, not being a consumer of an organization. If you have come to the point of believing that God is calling you to connect in a deeper way to what He is doing at Calvary, membership is for you.

To become a member at Calvary, you must complete:

  1. First Taste and WOW Life 101: A two-part introduction to Calvary and the life of faith.
  2. Believer’s baptism by immersion. This may be done at Calvary or may have already been done at another church.
  3. An interview by the membership team (occur between worship gatherings on the third Sunday of each month). Contact Kendel (ext. 21) if you would like to schedule an interview after completing the first two steps.

Upon affirmation of the Membership Team, your name will be presented to the congregation at the next congregational business meeting for a vote.
